PlatinumCode Once Again Donates Five Percent of Pink Product’s Profits to Support Breast Cancer Research

For the second year in a row the Breast Cancer Research Fund will receive five percent of profits from the sale of PlatinumCode’s pink products

MINNEAPOLIS, November 12, 2014 – PlatinumCode, a leading manufacturer and supplier of specimen identification and collection products for the healthcare industry, announced September 18, 2014 that they had committed 5 percent of their profits on the sale of eligible pink products to support breast cancer awareness. In making the announcement, PlatinumCode launched various marketing efforts to help support the cause, resulting in a boost in the sale of pink items.

As of Friday, October 31, PlatinumCode indicated record-breaking sales for the company – resulting in a larger than anticipated donation to PlatinumCode’s charity of choice, The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Because PlatinumCode is privately held, dollar figures will stay private.

“We knew this was going to be a bigger month for us, sales-wise, but didn’t expect to shatter our record, and not to mention blow 2013’s record out of the water for pink sales,” said PlatinumCode Sales Manager, Chad Falkenborg,

“We are thrilled to have committed to this cause and can’t wait to make our donation.”

PlatinumCode chose to once again donate to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, a foundation focused on providing critical funding for innovative clinical and translational research at leading medical centers worldwide. The Breast Cancer Research Foundation currently directs 91 cents of every dollar towards breast cancer research and awareness programs.

“The decision to once again donate to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation was easy,” said PlatinumCode Chief Revenue Officer, Ron Griffith, “Their strong focus on research and the extensive knowledge they have of the disease enables us to be confident that our funds are going to good use.”
