PlatinumCode Purchased Seven-Color Mark Andy Press to Increase Label Production and Expand Offerings
MINNEAPOLIS, February 3, 2016 – PlatinumCode, a leading manufacturer and supplier of specimen identification and collection products for the healthcare industry, announced today that they have begun production of labels on an all-new Mark Andy label press. The new label press joins the lineup of other state-of-the-art presses in their nearly 35,000 square foot Minneapolis facility.
“We have now completed our installation, and production has begun,” Steve Griffith, PlatinumCode’s Chief Operating Officer, stated, “and already we have seen the benefits of another press – our output on the press is quadruple of other presses, and the print speed is up to 500 feet per minute.”
The purchase of the Mark Andy press will give PlatinumCode the ability to print a wider variety of labels and cater to more hospital’s and clinical lab’s needs.
“We are always on the lookout for ways to increase our productivity and offerings while keeping a high level of quality, so an investment in a press that can produce any label our customers can dream up, was a perfect fit.” Griffith stated, “The press we purchased will primarily be used for custom printed labels.”
The new press will allow PlatinumCode to continue to grow and expand their Minneapolis facility by adding more stocked labels and more employees.
“We have hit our growth targets year after year and we are excited to have another tool to assist with that,” Ron Griffith, PlatinumCode’s Chief Revenue Officer, stated, “and with all of our presses and employees under one roof in Minnesota, we feel confident that we can provide not only the highest quality, but the absolute best service and turnaround times.”
PlatinumCode offers a wide range of identification and collection products for the healthcare facility including specially designed labels for laboratory and hospital information systems, instrumentation media, specimen transport products, bright-colored, non-latex tourniquet bands, and cohesive bandages. Headquartered in Minneapolis, with warehouse locations across the United States, PlatinumCode serves thousands of clinical laboratories, hospitals, and medical centers in the United States.
